Safe & Sound Site Rules
01. Administrators and Moderators | Administrators and moderators should be respected at all times. If you have a problem with an administrator or moderator, please send a private message to the head administrator and it will be deal with separately. If you are a moderator, then I expect you to follow all rules and to not abuse your power; if you abuse your power, then you will be demoted.
02. Respect | Be respectful to members on the site no matter who they are. Everyone should be treated with respect at all times and if any member is caught putting down a member they will be dealt with accordingly. Remember, respect is in the eye of the beholder; what you say might not be offending to you but it might offend someone else.
03. Profile | When registering please make your user name your character’s first and last name with proper capitalization. If you fail to do so simply contact an administrator and it will be sorted out shortly; the same applies to name changes.
04. Spamming | No Trolling, creating blatantly stupid topics that will cause a flame war, blatantly posting stupid comments and posting to annoy or offend other members.
05. Harassment | No sexual, racial, ethnic, or any other kind of harassment. If you are caught breaking this rule you will be banned immediately. Joking is only appropriate if everyone knows that it is a joke.
In Character Rules
01. Posting Regulations |
---All members should post in paragraph format and have a minimum of fifty words.
---All posts also need to be in third-person, past tense to keep the site consistent and to make it easier for other members to understand what you have written.
---Please maintain proper spelling and grammar at all times.
02. Relationships | Relationships are perfectly acceptable as long as the other person consents. Do not pull the "claim game" though and start a war if someone else talks to your significant other; you do not own them. Also, please keep relationships relatively realistic.
03. Confinement | Characters are confined to either the Capitol City or their assigned district. The only acceptation to this is during the Hunger Games when tributes will be moved to the Capitol City. If you wish to travel to another area please contact an Administrator or Moderator to explain why you need to travel.
04. Activity | If you are going to be inactive, please notify us on the appropriate board so we know where you went. Otherwise you will be moved to the archive and you will have to request your posts to be reinstated.
05. God Modding | God Modding is definitely not allowed. Each character is allowed to control themselves and no one person can be all knowing or all powerful.
Character Creation Rules
01. Realistic Characters | All characters must be realistic to their setting and to actual life. If you have questions about a character that lives in a certain area then see the information about that specific location. Also, we do not want people who seem completely inhuman so ensure that your character makes sense.
02. District Citizens | Characters can be from District One through District Twelve as long as there is still room. Please know that each district has its own regulations for character creations. If you have any questions see the Character Creation Area.
03. Capitol Citizens | Keep all characters from the Capitol City realistic as well and remember that these people are very eccentric and love dressing up in all sorts of costumes.
04. Avoxes | Avoxes are perfectly fine as long as they have a realistic reason for being one. If you are caught stealing an apple in District Twelve obviously the Capitol is not going to turn you into one.
05. Victors and Mentors | If you wish to create a victor of a previous Hunger Game then remember that you are held to higher expectations because only a few of these positions are available. You must develop your profile in more detail and understand what takes place in the Hunger Games. It is not recommended that you become one unless you truly understand what their job as a Mentor is.
06. Work In Process | Work in progress profiles need to be labeled as such. If you create a profile and do not label it accordingly then it may be rejected. The moderators can only do so much and adding to their confusion only makes them more upset when they approve your profile.
07. Plagiarism | Do not plagiarize. It is alright to take information from another sight about attacks and background information, but do not steal characters. That is in no way appropriate.
08. Roleplaying | Please do not being roleplaying until your character has been approved. If you are not approved or commented on within three days then you will be allowed to do so, but you are expected to attend to your profile when it is addressed.
09. Multiple Characters |
---Multiple characters are encouraged here because of how many people will ultimately perish in the Hunger Games. Feel free to create characters of various genders, ages, districts, and positions.
---When making multiple characters please make a different account for each character with the correct capitalization of their first and last name. If you fail to do so please contact an administrator to have it adjusted.
---If you wish to have your character entered in the Hunger Games but do not want to spend hours on a profile, simply fill out the simpler application. This way if your character dies you will not feel as frustrated. If you character ends up being the victor of the Hunger Games then you will be allowed to go back and add onto your profile since they will now be a permanent character on the site [unless the staff decides to throw in a little plot twist].
---If you wish to create a character between the ages of twelve and eighteen, but do not want them entered into the Hunger Games, this is perfectly fine as long as you fill out the longer application. However you are limited to only one permanent character unless you receive permission from an administrator or moderator.
